With the new online ordering portal, VIP has not included email confirmations. Instead they added functionality to the sales app to help you manage expected or received orders. This was done in an effort to reduce the amount of emails you are receiving and also put the order review right in the app where it can be edited during the review.
In the sales app there is a tab called Order Tracking. They have added some callouts to the tab to help reps keep track of their orders. The Green Number is the number of new orders that have been added not by the rep, portal orders, orders entered by customer service, EDI orders etc. will count in that number. The Orange number is the number of orders that are missing for the next few delivery days. Missing orders uses the delivery frequencies that were just set to determine the next delivery.
Clicking that tab will open the screen below. Where you can track missing orders and look at any portal orders that were placed that need review. The portal orders will show up on their delivery day and you can see which day's have orders to be reviewed.
New Portal Orders will show the source the order came from Retailer Portal, Connect etc. and have a new icon to indicate it hasn't been reviewed. By clicking on the order you can review and edit it on the spot.
Missing Orders are orders that the system is expecting based on the frequency assigned and will show the delivery date and the account missing an order. This will provide a good way of checking on accounts that are using the portal that haven't placed their order yet. Also it is a good idea to check before closing your day to make sure you haven't missed a transmission.
We understand that this is a change that will take getting used to but it should make it easier for you to keep track of who has placed their order and being able to review / edit them in the app. Another benefit is that since trainees will download a rep's route for coverage, they also have access to this data. So instead of trying to forward emails or making extra calls they can use this feature to ensure all the orders get entered and we don't miss any sales.
